Gee Thanks

Why didn't any of you slackers remind me that it was going to be Thursday today? I'd blame the Labor Day holiday for messing up my days of the week, but I didn't have that day off. Not sure what happened to all those days in between then & now - I guess I've just been working too hard. Good thing I have Fridays off :)

TMI Tuesday #150

1. When was the last time someone hit on you? Saturday. What went down? That dad from the pool party that I blogged about but deleted later was at the grocery store. I tried to catch up with him to say hi, but even though I only had 3 items & no line, he beat me out of the store. Luckily, I know what he drives. Heh. Our kids are in the same class again this year (small town), so just said hello, asked my daughter how her first week of school went, how was his summer, etc. Then he says "So, when's our next trip?" Like we're traveling buddies or something now. Cracked me up. Guess you had to be there. Oh, & I almost ran over him later in the day. That's what he gets for jaywalking, huh?

2. If you were single and could be with any one person, who would it be (thinking singer/actor or someone famous here, but whatever)? Um hello...Orlando Bloom DUH!

3. Have you ever done anything sexual in your office or your place of employment? I just got off probation there today. Probably not a good time to any start hanky-panky business just yet...

4. Do you apologize when you make a mistake? Uh, I guess if I ever do make one, I might. :) How do you react when someone calls you out? I'll let you know when it happens.

5. Top or bottom? Top. Yeehaw!

Clowning Around For HNT

I went to see the circus a few weeks ago.

Howdy

I'm still around, just had a crazy week & weekend. Worked wayyyyy too much last week - covering for co-workers on vacation - hopefully that will slow down around the middle of this week. My drug addict neighbors are out of control again & I had to cut my weekend plans short so their kids could come stay with us, so now my stalker robot mom is mad that I didn't spend time with her yesterday like I said I would. And my car isn't running right. And blogger wouldn't let me upload ANY pics last week for HNT. Oh well, what is there to do but keep on goin' & doin' the best ya can?

Finally

It finally sunk in last night that my grandmother is gone. She passed away on Mother's Day & I've been waiting all these months for it to hit me. She wasn't the typical grandmotherly type (is there really one?), but she was a big part of my life. We didn't bake cookies together, she didn't take me to the park, she didn't teach me how to sew, we didn't plant a garden together, & we didn't have sleep-overs at her house. (My mom does all of these things with my daughters & it just amazes me, but that's a different story.) My grandmother & I did, however, spend a lot of time together. We had supper together at least once a week, more if there was a special occasion & I spent a lot of time at her house while I was growing up. She was always very loving & really enjoyed it every time someone came to visit her, especially me (her only grandchild) or my daughters. It finally sunk in last night that I can't call her & ask her a question anymore.
I miss her voice.
I miss her laugh.
I miss her sayings.
I miss her.

Well Hello There

Just stopping in to see if I had posted anything since HNT. I guess if I don't remember putting up a new post, there probably isn't one, huh? Been kinda absorbed in the Olympics & I think I only have one hour left of the opening ceremony that I have recorded. Been watching it off & on all weekend, between events of interest, marathon shopping on Saturday, & other things going on. I had to record the opening ceremony because I wasn't home on Friday night. I had an awesome adventure & took hundreds of photos that I haven't even gotten off the cameras yet.

Another adventure tomorrow & then I'll be working the rest of the week. Did I mention that the shit hit the fan at work last week? Yeah, it did. But I still have a job & now I'll be getting even more money hours in the coming month, so that is a good thing. Even if I'll be too worn out to do anything else...
